I enjoy forgetting I'm a banker for an hour every day at lunch time. I get changed into more all terrain apparel, go out exploring new trails, new neighborhoods, new anything. Then I come back, refreshed and renewed, and change back in to my banker apparel. Today I really needed it. All the loan paperwork was swimming before me and making no sense, so I took a break from the world of financed and went out into the world period.
Nolan had the opportunity to really ride his very first bike for the very first time tonight. It's hard for him. He's got skinny, non-muscly legs and riding through grass (which is all we really have at home) just isn't that easy for him. So tonight we went with Lindsay to the church and as she helped orchestrate young women's we were outside in the parking lot and riding a bike! He did good. He's very very cautious, but by the end of the night he was riding on his own (training wheels of course). Their friends Josh and Elijah Nyre were there, so I helped them ride. Elijah was a maniac and I really had to move to keep him straight on the bike because he was more interested in going fast than in taking precautions. Josh was the complete opposite. He wouldn't take his foot off the break, but he wanted a ride!? Everyone had fun though, and no one crashed either.
Tomorrow we get chickens!? Where do we put them?!
